The incidence of cholangiocarcinoma is increasing worldwide. Patients present with abdominal pain, whereas weight loss and malaise are symptoms advanced disease. Jaundice occurs when there hilar obstruction by the tumor. Surgical management involves resection affected hepatic segments or liver transplantation, which requires a dedicated multidisciplinary team approach, promising outcomes seen in high-volume centres. authors employed search strategy for databases like PubMed Google Scholar. then reviewed articles using preferred reporting items systematic reviews meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines compared data concerning postoperative complications, recurrence rates, five-year survival rates prognosis. Liver confers long-term patients intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, though prognosis morbidity this procedure still gloomy. transplantation could be an option, either early stages diagnosed context chronic diseases locally tumors, neoadjuvant treatments have achieved sustained tumor response without extrahepatic spread.
